Parris @ The Crystal Shop
Select a pendulum that resonates with you. It can be made of different materials, like quartz, amethyst, or other crystals. The type of crystal may have its unique properties, but the most important factor is that you feel connected to it.
Before use, cleanse your pendulum to clear any previous energies. You can do this by:Placing it under running water (if the crystal can handle water).Leaving it in moonlight or sunlight for a few hours.Smudging it with sage, palo santo, or incense.
Hold the pendulum in your hand and take a moment to set your intentions. You might want to ask for clarity, guidance, or protection during your session.
Hold the pendulum by the chain, allowing the crystal to dangle freely.
Ask the pendulum to show you a "Yes" response. It might start swinging in a particular direction (back and forth, side to side, or in a circle).
Then, ask it to show you a "No" response. Note the direction of the movement.
You can also ask it to show a "Maybe" response if you wish to have that option.
Once you’ve established the responses, you can start asking your questions.
Keep your questions simple and clear, preferably yes/no questions. For example:"Is this decision in my best interest?""Will I find success in this new project?"
Hold the pendulum steady and allow it to move naturally in response to your questions.
Observe the movement of the pendulum and interpret the answer based on the responses you’ve established.
If the pendulum doesn’t move, it could mean that the answer isn’t clear, or it’s not the right time to ask.
Thank the pendulum for its guidance and cleanse it if you feel the need to.
Store your pendulum in a safe place, ideally in a pouch or a special box, to keep its energy clear.
Practice patience and trust your intuition.
It’s normal for the pendulum to give uncertain responses, especially when you’re emotionally invested in the outcome. Try to stay neutral.
You can use the pendulum over maps, objects, or even to locate lost items.
By practicing regularly, you'll become more attuned to the subtle movements and responses of your pendulum.
